Azarias Tor: The History Maker

My story (Richard Abbott-Brailey) and his story (Azarias Tor).
I was born in London, spending my early years living off the Bayswater Road before moving to Colville Houses, close to the Portobello Road, when my parents separated. By that time I had two younger sisters. I was, as I far as I can remember, I was attending Hallfield Primary school, travelling to and from school on the bus - a tuppence return fare, I think - on my own; doubt that happens these days! We lived in what might be termed as a commune in a property that was once owned by the notorious Peter Rackman - that's another story. I remember walking across the adjoining rooftops of the five storey Victorian stucco fronted properties, and exploring the area between the back gardens of houses on Westbourne Park Road by walking along a high narrow wall from the cul-de-sac to the Clydesdale Road. (To be continued)...
